Construction Chief Engineer

Job Description:

• Leading and managing the engineering team and providing technical guidance on construction projects.
• Developing and overseeing the construction schedule, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Collaborating with architects, and contractors to ensure that construction projects meet design specifications and comply with safety standards.
• Providing input on cost estimates and ensuring that construction projects are completed within the allocated budget.
• Reviewing and approving construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Identifying and resolving technical issues that arise during the construction process.
• Ensuring that all necessary permits and licenses are obtained before construction begins.
• Conducting site visits to monitor progress and ensure that construction work is performed according to design specifications and safety standards.
• Developing and implementing quality control procedures to ensure that construction work meets quality standards.
• Maintaining accurate records of construction progress, including daily reports, change orders, and other documentation
• Performs other tasks and responsibilities assigned by the immediate superior from time to time.

Job Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in construction engineering, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
• Strong technical knowledge of construction processes, materials, and equipment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with architects and in contractors.
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team of engineers.
• Ability to analyze and solve complex technical problems.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Familiarity with construction safety standards and regulations.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• With an engineering license.
