Engineering Materials Officer

Job Descriptions:

• Collaborate with project managers to determine material needs for upcoming projects.
• Develop and implement plans for material procurement, storage, and distribution.
• Ensure that materials meet the company’s and industry standards for quality and safety.
• Coordinate and manage the storage of materials on the job site.
• Maintain material inventory records and track usage.
• Coordinate the transportation of materials to the job site.
• Monitor material usage to ensure efficient use and minimize waste.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for materials.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in materials engineering, construction management, or a related field is typically required for this position.
• Previous experience in materials management in the construction industry is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of materials engineering principles and practices is essential.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and technical skills are necessary.
• Strong project management and organizational skills are essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.
• Proficiency in inventory management systems and computer software is preferred.
