Material Engineer

Job Descriptions:

• Conduct material tests and analysis to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
• Develop and implement quality control procedures and processes for construction materials.
• Provide technical advice and support to project teams on material-related issues.
• Monitor material performance during construction and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Review and approve material submittals from suppliers.
• Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure that materials are delivered on time and to the required quality standards.
• Maintain a database of material test results and reports.
• Participate in the development and review of project specifications and requirements related to construction materials.
• Ensure that construction materials are stored and handled correctly to prevent damage or deterioration.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices related to construction materials.
• Any other assigned duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, or a related field.
• Previous experience in material engineering or a related field in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, including concrete, steel, and asphalt.
• Experience with material testing and analysis.
• Knowledge of quality control procedures and processes for construction materials.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with material testing equipment and software.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to construction materials.
