- Conduct material tests and analysis to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Develop and implement quality control procedures and processes for construction materials.
- Provide technical advice and support to project teams on material-related issues.
- Monitor material performance during construction and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Review and approve material submittals from suppliers.
- Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure that materials are delivered on time and to the required quality standards.
- Maintain a database of material test results and reports.
- Participate in the development and review of project specifications and requirements related to construction materials.
- Ensure that construction materials are stored and handled correctly to prevent damage or deterioration.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices related to construction materials.
- Any other assigned duties as assigned.

- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, or a related field.
- Previous experience in material engineering or a related field in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, including concrete, steel, and asphalt.
- Experience with material testing and analysis.
- Knowledge of quality control procedures and processes for construction materials.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with material testing equipment and software.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to construction materials.
