SCT Officer (Spareparts, Circulating Materials and Tools)

Job Descriptions:

  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of spare parts, circulating materials, and tools inventory.
  • Develop and implement inventory control systems to track stock levels, replenishment, and usage.
  • Conduct regular stock checks, identify discrepancies, and take appropriate measures to resolve any issues.
  • Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely availability of required spare parts, materials, and tools.
  • Coordinate and oversee the maintenance and repair of construction equipment, tools, and machinery.
  • Schedule and conduct regular inspections to identify any faulty or malfunctioning equipment.
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams and external vendors to ensure timely repairs and maintenance.
  • Keep records of maintenance activities, including repair history and costs.
  • Receive and review requisitions for spare parts, materials, and tools from construction teams.
  • Determine the availability of requested items and initiate procurement processes if necessary.
  • Coordinate the distribution of spare parts, materials, and tools to the relevant construction sites.
  • Ensure proper documentation and tracking of all distributed items.
  • Identify and evaluate potential vendors for spare parts, circulating materials, and tools.
  • Establish and maintain good relationships with vendors to ensure timely delivery and quality products.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with vendors to optimize procurement processes.
  • Monitor vendor performance and take necessary actions to address any issues or non-compliance.

Job Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in inventory management, procurement, or construction project coordination is desirable.
  • Knowledge of construction equipment, spare parts, and materials is highly advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with construction equipment, spare parts, and tools.
  • Proficient in using computerized inventory management systems and software.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, drawings, and specifications.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and generate reports on inventory levels, usage, and costs.
